Nature Center Superintendent
Short Description
Onondaga County Parks seeks a full-time, professional-level Superintendent for Beaver Lake Nature Center. The Nature Center Superintendent is responsible for advancing the mission of Beaver Lake Nature Center: to foster local and global stewardship of nature through diverse recreational and educational opportunities that enhance visitors’ awareness, appreciation, and understanding of the natural world. Responsibilities include providing vision, leadership, and overall management of the park and its staff; administering the budget; overseeing land and facilities management; oversight of educational and recreational programs; guiding long-range planning initiatives; and collaborating closely with the Friends of Beaver Lake, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization, to align priorities and support the Nature Center’s mission.
The ideal candidate will be a highly visible, energetic leader with a demonstrated passion for people, nature, education, conservation, and environmental stewardship.
