New Mexico Wildlife Center (NMWC) is seeking someone with a passion for wildlife and conservation education. Do you have a deep knowledge in current practices for the care and training of raptors and a love for sharing your knowledge of wildlife and the environment with learners of all ages? If so, we want to hear from you! The Curator will maintain high standards in husbandry of our live animal collection which includes a variety of native New Mexican amphibians, reptiles, mammals and birds. The Curator will have substantial experience with operant conditioning, enrichment, and public speaking while conducting presentations with live animals and is passionate about the impact of the NMWC mission and collection of Ambassador Animals on visitor experience. The Curator manages all aspects of NMWC education programs, including on-site, off-site and virtual programs. Hires, trains, schedules, supervises educators, interns, and volunteers.
