Mohonk Preserve, New York State's largest non-profit nature preserve is seeking a Land & Climate Intern to: • Integrate carbon sequestration and resilience considerations into land management plans for both forests and grasslands • Integrate climate resilience metrics into land protection criteria • Share project findings with the public and the land trust community Completed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required. Internship requires proficiency in climate science and ecology as well as strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated interest in organizational governance/change is a plus. Duration: 8 months (Feb – Sept 2021; part-time, flexible) Location: Mohonk Preserve Visitor Center OR remote Application Deadline: December 21, 2020 Compensation: $14/hr.; housing may be available The internship may be completed partially or fully via remote work.
