OVERVIEW: Bloomfield Hills Schools owns both Bowers School Farm and Johnson Nature Center as outdoor learning sites to support student learning and community outreach. Bowers School Farm has been operated by Bloomfield Hills Schools since 1964 as a land laboratory. It is housed on 90 acres where we cultivate community through education and engagement with agriculture and the local food system. The schools purchased the land which was to become the Johnson Nature Center 1968 to promote conservation and stewardship through meaningful experiences in nature. The Farm and Nature Center are open daily and year-round for educational and community events. PRIMARY PURPOSE: We are seeking a Camp Coordinator to provide leadership and coordination of all aspects of our spring, winter, and summer and afterschool camp programming at both Bowers School Farm and Johnson Nature Center. The position includes planning, promoting, recruiting and supervising leaders, and creating a safe, fun, and educational experience for youth.
