The Director of Development and Marketing is responsible for developing and implementing the fundraising programs that support the education, research, and advocacy objectives of Florida Oceanographic Society through the annual operating budget, capital, and endowment funds. The Director of Development & Marketing creates and implements strategic and annual development plans and maintains ongoing productive relationships with donors, supporters, board members, and staff, working in collaboration with the Executive Director & CEO. The Director is also responsible for the marketing, communications, and messaging of the organization across multiple platforms to include diverse audience segments. This role includes facilitating community outreach and engagement with multiple constituents including board members, volunteers, donors, members, and other partners and community organizations.
