Weekend Nature Center Associate
Short Description
Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service and education to visitors of all ages.
Support educational programming and events as needed.
Engage visitors about upcoming events, our capital campaign, and ways to get involved.
Assist with the day-to-day operations of the nature center, including maintaining the retail space, maker's space, bug zoo, and children’s library.
Care for a variety of animals, including arthropods, reptiles, and amphibians.
Manage inventory, including receiving, organizing, and restocking merchandise.
Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of all public spaces.
Desired Qualifications:
Excitement about nature and wildlife.
Sociable and outgoing personality.
Knowledge about the local area, trails, and ecosystems is a plus.
Experience in customer service, education, or retail is a plus.
Comfort with animal care (no handling required) tasks and willingness to learn.
