Wild Bear Nature Center is hiring a Development Director to meet its annual fundraising goals and manage a capital campaign for a new nature center opening in 2025. The role involves developing and leading operational fundraising plans, supporting capital campaign strategies, and collaborating with the Chief Vision Officer (CVO) and CEO. Key responsibilities include donor prospect research, cultivating major donors, managing end-of-year and spring appeals, and leveraging community events for fundraising. The Development Director will also formalize corporate sponsorships and partnerships, document fundraising progress, and provide monthly reports. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 3-5 years in nonprofit development, a proven fundraising track record, strong communication skills, and experience with relevant technology and high-level sponsorships.
