The Assistant General Manager at the Okefenokee Swamp Park, Inc. is responsible for the overall direction and execution. This is a full-time, 12-month position, classified as exempt from the standard 40-hour work week, and requires some nights and weekends. The Assistant General Manager at the Okefenokee Swamp Park, Inc. is responsible for the overall direction and execution of a broad-based organization-wide sustainable conservation education directive. Key accountabilities for this position will be the monitoring of refreshed safety procedures in alignment with General Management and per the Executive Director. Additional facility management in consideration of innovative programming that is aligned with the OSP’s mission and strategic agenda will also be required. This is a leadership position and as such requires an unwavering commitment to professionalism and a thorough and complete understanding of all crisis management, health, and safety protocols. Technological proficiency with PC or Mac hardware/software, and competency with Microsoft Office, and relevant electronic communication methods is a requirement for the fulfillment of this job description. With the support of the General Manager (OSP), the Assistant General Manager performs the work necessary to maintain the Okefenokee Swamp Park per the expectations set by the Executive Director and the Board of Trustees. This position handles day to day tours, gift shop and nature center operations.
