The Education Director leads and coordinates educational programming at River Bend Nature Center, ensuring programs are engaging, organized, safe, and aligned with the organization’s mission. This position oversees the planning, scheduling, promotion, delivery, and evaluation of programs for schools, families, children, and the community. Responsibilities include coordinating daily program operations, supporting and guiding education staff and volunteers, maintaining communication with schools and community partners, assisting with grants and outreach efforts, and helping ensure consistent program quality and participant safety. The Education Director works closely with organizational leadership to support educational goals, community engagement, and nature and science learning opportunities. This role requires strong communication, organization, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, public-facing environment.
