Lodging
Summit participants receive a special rate on lodging at two hotels in downtown Midland: The H Hotel and the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites.
We will offer daily shuttle service between the hotels and Chippewa Nature Center. Both hotels are a 10-minute drive from the nature center.
If you want to extend your stay in Midland, the Summit rate at each hotel will be honored three days before and after the Summit.
The H Hotel
Summit rate: $178/night
The H Hotel is a full-service boutique hotel with a convenient riverfront location.
The last day to book the special rate at The H Hotel is July 31.

Travel
Located at the confluence of the Tittabawassee and Chippewa Rivers, Midland is a charming small city known for its riverfront setting and strong connection to the outdoors. With a walkable downtown and a mix of cultural and natural attractions, Midland offers a comfortable and scenic place to gather.
Part of Michigan’s Great Lakes Bay region, Midland is less than 30 miles from Lake Huron’s Saginaw Bay. Visit the Go Great Lakes Bay website for additional activities beyond the Summit.
Airports
The closest airport to the Summit is MBS International Airport, located about 25 minutes from Chippewa Nature Center and approximately 15 minutes from the host hotels. Chippewa Nature Center will provide a shuttle to and from MBS for Summit participants.

- This is Michigan’s largest airport and offers the widest range of domestic and international flights.
- Bishop International Airport — 1 hour from Midland
- Offers a selection of regional and national routes.
ANCA will provide resources for Summit participants to self-organize carpooling from major airports and transit hubs.
Ground Transportation & Carpooling
Summit participants should not rely on ride shares (Uber or Lyft) as they are generally unavailable in Midland. If you plan to stay at other accommodations or fly into an airport other than MBS, we recommend that you rent a car.
Biking or Walking to CNC from Midland
The Chippewa Trail starts near downtown Midland and goes to Chippewa Nature Center, providing a 3.5 mile paved non-motorized pathway that Summit participants can use to bike or walk to CNC. It is not illuminated at night.
