ANCA CONNECTS: Aligning Risk Management Practices with Equity and Inclusion Values
Description
Time: 8-9:30am AKT / 9am-10:30pm PT / 10-11:30am MT / 11am-12:30pm CT / 12-1:30pm ET
In order to be effective, equity and inclusion initiatives can’t be siloed into a single department — they must be integrated into all aspects of an organization’s operations. Here we’ll explore how an organizational commitment to equity and inclusion relates to risk management practices. We’ll address such questions as:
- How have traditional risk management practices fallen short (or even worked at cross-purposes) with equity and inclusion efforts?
- How can current thinking in risk management uplift equity and inclusion while supporting both physical and emotional safety in the workplace?
- What do managers need to know about supporting staff and uplifting a culture of safety in the workplace?
Join us to explore these principles and discuss ways to apply them to your specific workplace. All are welcome and encouraged to join us and share lessons learned with each other.
Experiential Consulting, LLC provides risk management support to outdoor and experiential education programs, and is proud to collaborate with ANCA on this meeting.
