The Summer Camp Teacher/Naturalist has duties primarily in the education branch of the NJ Audubon mission and provides hands-on activities, games, crafts and nature exploration in a camp setting. The Teacher Naturalist will work directly with the Program Director to develop and teach the programs and takes an active role in promoting New Jersey Audubon as a membership-based conservation organization. Conduct, plan and develop (as applicable) natural history programs for children, Programs will have a strong focus on awareness and respect for the natural world, Maintain lesson plans, educational materials and all other related programming information as required, Help in the care, feeding, and wellbeing of live animals that are presented for educational purposes. Seasonal: June 24 to August 30, 2019. Full time 40 hours per week, 8:30 – 4:30 flexible as needed. Weekly commitment See www.njaudubon.org for additional information.
