ANCA Minnesota Region Members ANCA Minnesota Region Members

ANCA-MN is comprised of 97 members from Minnesota and western Wisconsin nature centers, environmental learning centers, state and county parks, environmental education organizations, and more. ANCA-MN members have identified the need for networking, professional development, and sharing ideas and concerns as their focus for the informal quarterly meetings. ANCA-MN meeting topics are identified in January via a doodle survey for all members. Topics for 2019 meetings that received the highest interest are professional development opportunities; outreach programs; scientist/research projects; titles-salaries-staffing structures; personnel issues; and ED/manager role and interactions with staff, volunteers, and board members. ANCA-MN are facilitated by Julie Grecian and participatory and supportive in nature. Julie takes notes at each meeting and sends them out within one week, along with any relative handouts, to all ANCA-MN members, regardless if they attend the meeting. Occasionally, ANCA-MN members will identify speakers to present on one-hour topics, followed by a facilitated discussion between participants. ANCA-MN meets quarterly at different locations in the Twin Cities metro area.

In recent years, some ANCA-MN members identified the need to also have a volunteer coordinator network to discuss a variety of aspects related to volunteer programs. If you are a volunteer coordinator or manager and are interested in attending these meetings, please contact Nancie Klebba at .
