ANCA CONNECTS: Executive Leaders – Building a Positive Culture
Description
I recently came across a list of traits for nonprofit leaders. One really stuck with me: Builds a positive culture.
A good leader creates a place for everyone, aligned around shared values and common goals. It’s not about building something for the leader. It’s about the entire group. Easier said than done.
As executive leaders, we carry the responsibility for shaping culture, often without the time, space, or a sounding board to step back and really think it through. Culture shows up in everything: how decisions are made, how conflict is handled, how people feel when they come to work, and whether they choose to stay.
In this Executive Leaders CONNECTS session, we’ll step out of the day-to-day and into conversation with peers who understand the weight of that responsibility. Together, we’ll explore:
- What does a “positive culture” actually look like in practice?
- Where are we getting it right and where are we struggling?
- How do we intentionally lead culture, especially in times of stress or uncertainty?
- What small shifts can make a meaningful difference?
This is not a presentation, it’s a facilitated peer conversation. A space to think out loud, share honestly, and learn from others who are navigating the same challenges.
Because building a healthy, aligned culture isn’t something you have to figure out alone.
This program takes place on Zoom, and will not be recorded.
Who Should Attend: This conversation is exclusively for Executive Directors/CEOs/Top Managers who are current ANCA members.
