Irvine’s Environmental Educator is primarily responsible for planning, developing and leading a wide variety nature-based education programs for children and adults. This includes leading occasional overnight campouts for school groups and team-building experiences for adults. School Camping Program • Oversee the planning, staffing and evaluation of camping groups for Baltimore City and County students • Inventory, organize and re-order camping supplies as needed Team-Building Program • Design and lead half-day and all-day team-building activities for adult and student groups • Evaluate success of the program and modify as needed Summer Nature Camp • Design and lead Summer Nature Camp sessions for all ages • Oversee camp Youth Program Leaders: Coordinate schedules, lead training, create evaluation plan • Assist Camp Director with schedules, supplies prep, Back-to-Camp Night and general camp planning Other • Assist with leading school field trips, classroom outreach, scouts and after-school programs • Help with caring for Center’s live animals • Contribute to quarterly newsletter • Assist with Irvine’s special events.
