Location: Belvidere, Illinois
Salary: $55,000 - $65,000
The Director of Education, under supervision of the Executive Director, is a fulltime position responsible for: • Developing educational programs and overseeing their implementation, including summer camp. • Supervising education staff, including the program support coordinator, program educators, and summer camp staff. • Managing the education, volunteer, marketing, and event budgets with guidance from the Executive Director. • Writing and executing grants relating to environmental education. • Serving as liaison to education partners with other government agencies and non-governmental organizations. • Serving as part of the leadership team to review, prioritize, plan, and troubleshoot issues. • Understanding all rules, regulations, and district information and conveying this to conservation area users, staff, and program participants. • Working in cooperation with directors, managers, and employees to carry out the mission of the Boone County Conservation District.
